Media Player Classic is a media player with built-in codecs for MPEG-2 video. All versions of the free media player are maintained by the MPC-HC community at the Doom9 forum. Its active forks are the Media Player Classic - Home Cinema and the Media Player Classic - Black Edition. The program and its source code are based on the K-lite Codec Pack and the Combined Community Codec Pack. MPC-HC is capable of playing Video CD, Super Video CD, and other digital optical disc storage formats automatically all necessary codecs have been installed in the program. Every so often I wish the selection bar could be removed, as all the alternatives are available on the best click.Media Player Classic is an open-source media player for 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows operating systems. The toolbars are customizable, so you get to pick the switches needed on the user interface. The volume slider at the end improves the playback volume to a max of 200%. The media info is listed near the bottom with the name of the document playing, playback speed, and elapsed/remaining time that on double click opens a home window to leap to a specific time. You have the usual switches for pause/resume playback, stop playback, previous and next media in the playlist, open playlist, complete display toggle, and prolonged settings for audio-video-subtitles results, as well as synchronization, repeat, and shuffle.
